Stories of Our Ministry
The other day someone asked me to name the person who has made the most profound impact on my life, or, to phrase it another way, the individual who I find myself trying to emulate the most...I eventually answered...that that person would have to be Kyle Rapinchuk.
Christian Lingner ~ Branson, MO
I was immersed in the life of the Rapinchuk family, spending time with their kids, watching movies at their house, and having hilarious and insightful conversations about our lives. Kyle and Kristin have created a culture that embodies the Gospel; [people] are unconditionally accepted into a family and trained up to be disciples.
Andrew Pyatt ~ Springfield, MO
Kyle holds a special place on what I call my “board of directors,” who are the people in my life that I know I can trust with the biggest decisions, hurts, fears, and joys in my life. I know I can always turn to the Rapinchuk family, because they invited me in, and they continue to do so.
Jacob Russell ~ Atlanta, GA
What is The Greenhouse?
Mission: The Greenhouse exists to help men, women, and children embrace the historic Christian faith, grow up in Christ, and live out the Christian faith in generative ways that provide a broken world glimpses of the kingdom of God as it will one day be in its fullness.
Vision: By calling ourselves a Mere Christian Community, we seek to emphasize those things that unite us as followers of Jesus, not those things that distinguish, separate, or divide us. We are not saying that denominationalism is always bad, only that there must also be a much more concentrated, intentional effort at ecumenism (i.e., aiming for unity among all Christian churches around the world). We are therefore not really non-denominational, but rather intentionally inter-denominational.
